Position Overview

St. Matthew Circle Residential Group Home is seeking Direct Care Staff to assist in supervising youth in the program. This role involves supporting clients in their daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. Available schedules include weekends (days, evenings, and overnights) and weekdays (days, evenings, and overnights).

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children or equivalent qualifications through education in the human services field (a combination of work experience and education is acceptable, with one year of education substituting for one year of experience).
• Successful completion of criminal background and fingerprint checks, drug screening, etc.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities

The Direct Care Staff will:

• Training and Orientation:
• • Complete the required program orientation and training (including passing the test administered by St. Matthew Circle).
• Client Support:
• • Understand and implement treatment plans to assist clients in developing social, recreational, and independent living skills.
  • Be aware of safety issues and provide safety interventions as necessary.
• Crisis Management and Reporting:
• • Report all crisis or emergency situations to the Program Manager or their designee in their absence.
  • Provide updates to the Program Manager or Service Plan Coordinator regarding treatment issues.
• Behavior Management:
• • Understand and apply the program’s behavior management philosophy in daily interactions with clients.
  • Effectively implement de-escalation techniques when required.
• Daily Activities:
• • Follow scheduled guidelines for meal preparation and planning, as well as designated roles within the program.

Compensation and Schedule

• Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour.
• Schedule Options:
• • 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts.
  • Day shift, night shift, and on-call options.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required.
  • Overtime and as-needed shifts may be required.

Work Location

• In-person at St. Matthew Circle Residential Group Home.
