Job Description
Tales of the Cocktail Foundation is looking for a qualified Partnerships/Sales Intern to assist in various stages of the sales process, including creating awareness of new offerings, tracking deals, and partner coordination for Tales of the Cocktail 2025. TOTCF’s Partnerships/Sales Intern will assist the Partnerships Team in securing sponsorships and partnerships with brands large and small for both year-round partnerships and programs and the Foundation’s major events. The ideal intern candidate will be flexible, detail-oriented, and a great fit for our creative team.
At the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, interns will experience every aspect of business development in the nonprofit sector. This position is virtual with flexible work hours in addition to standing weekly meetings. The work will consist of recurring tasks to be performed on a regular basis as well as singular projects which may vary in scope and timeline.
Intern Duties and Responsibilities
● Assist the Sales team in tracking deals, scheduling calls, sending decks
● Update and maintain (a) HubSpot, our online CRM, (b) Shopify, our inventory management system, and (c) Airtable, our event management database, ensuring data integrity through accurate data entry and ongoing clean-up efforts
● Collect necessary details, contact information, and logos from sponsors
● Maintain partnerships records
● Help develop client relationships and retain existing accounts
● Assist Partnerships Team in various administrative and/or creative projects
Timeline
● The 2025 Spring/Summer season of TOTCF’s Partnerships / Sales Internship will begin in January and conclude in August. There’s also the opportunity for potential continuation of the role from August through December 2025.
● Partnerships/Sales Intern must be located in New Orleans, LA, for the week of Tales of the Cocktail and part of the week prior (July 16-27). NOTE: lodging is not provided or reimbursed by TOTCF
Hours + Pay
● The anticipated hours for the Partnerships/Sales Intern position are 12-15 hours per week from January - May, and 18-20 hours per week from May - August.
● The Partnerships/Sales Intern will be compensated at a rate of $10 per hour for the first semester, with a potential pay increase of $1 per hour for each additional semester served. Pay during the week of Tales of the Cocktail 2025 (July 20-25) will be $15 per hour.
