Job Description
Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Location: New Orleans, LA
Job Description:
Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals in vibrant New Orleans! We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to provide high-quality pre-hospital care to our community.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency calls and provide patient assessment and care.
- Administer basic life support (BLS) and assist advanced life support (ALS) providers.
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring their condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient care reports.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams, including paramedics and hospital staff.
- Ensure equipment and vehicles are stocked and in good working condition.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a current provisional or permanent National Registry Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic. *
- Possession of a current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification. *
- Possession of a current Louisiana State EMS Certification Commission Certification. *
- Possession of a current Orleans Parish EMT permit issued by the New Orleans Health Department. Original certification must be submitted to EMS within the first 30 calendar days of employment.
