Trinity Episcopal School is an early childhood through Eighth Grade co-educational school located in the Garden District. Trinity Episcopal School’s Aftercare Program is for children in preschool through fourth grade. Our general philosophy revolves around creating a home-like setting of supportive, loving adults in a multi-age grouping of children.

The hours of the position are Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m. daily, with extra hours available for special events and school conference days. The hourly salary is $15-$20 depending on experience.

The main responsibilities of the Aftercare Assistant are to work with the Director to help plan and implement all aspects of the daily schedule and special event days.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Planning hands-on, weekly activities
• Preparing snacks
• Setting up and participating in free play activities
• Cleaning up after activities
• Supervising children during outside and inside play

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Experience working with small children
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, ideally in Early Childhood Education
• Ability to engage children and enjoy working with them
• Patience
• Flexibility
• Eagerness to learn
• Creativity
• A team player
