Job Description

JeffCare Community Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center offering primary care and behavioral health from two sites in Metairie and Marrero, and it’s a program of Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority. This position is located in the greater New Orleans metropolitan area in Metairie but may require work in Marrero at times.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor operations of computer network and software applications and assist with resolving complex end user issues.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues with precision and efficiency.
  • Install and maintain Cisco switches, firewalls and routers and maintain uptime on all connected network devices.
  • Manage existing software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) connectivity between all sites and track bandwidth usage for optimal performance.
  • Maintain the entire Meraki wireless access point (WAP) system for optimal performance, including keeping up with new releases and features in the dashboard to provide robot Wi-Fi services to users.
  • Maintain existing server hardware hosting VMware virtual environment and create new virtual servers as needed.
  • Perform Microsoft Active Directory service administration and management, including design, cleanup, routine maintenance and configuration, etc.
  • Manage and maintain network cabling in all IT network closets.
  • Support end-user service requests for computers, printers, desk phones, and handheld devices for staff members located at assigned facility.
  • Set up and troubleshoot computer, printer and desk phone issues.
  • Update documentation system to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
  • Maintain the print servers.
  • Program phone extensions and manage and update the phone directory with extensions to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong understanding and proficiency in using various Office 365 applications, including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Strong understanding of Exchange Online administration, including mailbox management, distribution groups, mail flow rules, transport rules, and anti-spam/anti-malware settings
  • Ability to operate basic electric/electronic testing equipment
  • A baccalaureate degree plus three years of experience in information technology is preferred (include all relevant certifications/licenses and types of IT experience in your resume)
  • Strategic thinking ability and capacity to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and adapt proactively
  • Time management skills
  • Positive, collaborative, “can-do” attitude
  • Ability to work with others in a culturally competent way and consistently treat all with patience, empathy, dignity and respect

Pay: $25.72 - $36.02 per hour
