Job Description

Salary

•  Hourly Paid Annualized at $23,288 with potential increases up to $27,248

•  $2,000 Sign-On Incentive


Work Duration

Nine (9) months

180 days

4.5 hours per day


Responsibilities

Provide support in student transportation services including but not limited to: 

• Assists students and other passengers to provide safe loading and unloading of buses   during transport and emergency situations

• Collaborate with bus operator on passenger management to assist with student control

• Enforces rules/regulations to maintain student safety and well being

• Monitors students with special needs to ensure safe transportation of all passengers

• Reports observations/incidents of concern to appropriate personnel for action

• Secures students and/or their equipment (restraints, wheel chair tie down, seat belts, etc.) to ensure safety of students


Certification Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent, or the ability to obtain diploma or equivalent within 12 months of employment

• Ability to operate a wheelchair lift, wheelchair straps and safety vests within 30 days post hire

• Must complete first aid training successfully within 90 days after hire

• Experience working with students with multiple disabilities preferred

• Ability to maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
