Job Description
All-call for the newest member of #TeamVonMack!
Are you into the analytical side of marketing? Have a love for travel? What about a tendency to veer toward things at the beach?
As our resident Watersports Marketing Strategist, you will be our go-to for a super niche set of brands within our already niche-specific tourism marketing client fam. You'll be part Account Manager, part Strategic Lead, and you'll do it right here at our office on Oak Street. (Sorry, this is not a remote or hybrid position.)
This position’s main responsibility will be centered on increasing sales for this group, which includes the following:
- Maintaining daily, quarterly, and year-long marketing strategy alongside our team and CEO. You will be the point person who will be able to answer where we are on any specific line item for the ongoing. This includes quarterly trips to beach locations.
- Making sure websites are up to snuff, always in optimal form, and bringing in the reservations. This means performing continual quality spot checks, making simple Wordpress updates, tasking out bigger updates to our programming team, ideating landing pages, competitor research, etc.
- Ensuring that campaigns deliver by watching Google Ads campaigns, Meta Campaigns, SEO, and beyond in congruency. You'll be looking for those keywords that produce top dollar conversions and you'll be able to work with our campaign managers to ensure we hit our marks.
- Managing reporting and the clients' up-to-date dashboard views in Airtable.
- Blogging for SEO.
- Bonus: We may let you run some campaigns directly if you illustrate a passion for it and know your stuff. Meta, Google Ads, etc. welcome.
This is a brand new role, and as we're a rapidly growing company, your duties will 100% evolve and grow. We function collaboratively as an idea house of badass change-makers over here. That sort of thing should be your style, too.
Education: A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of direct, hands-on marketing experience is preferred.
Ideally, our dream candidate has the following attributes:
- You know what ROAS means…. and you live for it. You’re ready to create direct and offbeat ways to drive sales forward. We’ll give you the tools.
- Experience analyzing key metrics to inform strategy
- Excellent organizational, communication (both oral and written), and interpersonal skills
- Excellent multitasking and time-management skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Understanding of SEO ideation
- Google Ads, Facebook, Hubspot, etc. certifications are a plus, but not necessary. We know those things can be faked and we have no time for it. We’re looking for someone with actual working knowledge and a love for the craft.
- A university degree is a plus, but not necessary.
