Job Description
Lapeyre Stair, Inc. has a position available for an Inventory Control Clerk. Primary responsibilities include cycle counting, stocking, picking, pulling and delivering parts to the factory floor.

Responsibilities:
- Stock/load purchased parts into specific inventory locations and pick/deliver parts to the factory floor or shipping (i.e., Customer Service orders)
- Document/record all transactions in MRP system (i.e., stocking, picking, moving, etc.) via computer
- Cycle count inventory locations to maintain/ensure inventory accuracy in MRP
- Kit parts for assembly and fabrication from interpreting bills of materials in shop packs.
- Unloading trucks with the use of forklift and/or overhead crane.
- All housekeeping duties involving the shipping area.
- Accurately execute ALL inventory counts and computer transactions
- It is essential that this position is performed at the facility.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating a forklift
- "Self-managed" team player comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Diligent and demonstrate attention to detail, good organizational skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Must have basic Math skills
- Able to successfully use a computer to access manufacturing inventory control system
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and bill of materials
- Able to perform essential job requirements, as identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 50 pounds
- Willing to cross-train in other work centers if/as needed
- A passion for doing a job well
- Able to work overtime
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience using an overhead crane
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an inventory clerk, parts crib attendant or similar work experience
- Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment preferred
