Job Description
EITHER:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, OR:
A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university,* and two (2) years of professional exempt experience in grants management. At least one year of this experience must have been supervisory.
OR:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university,* and four (4) years of professional exempt experience in grants management. At least one year of this experience must have been supervisory.
- Research, identify, and evaluate potential funding opportunities from various sources such as government agencies, foundations, and corporations
- Develop and write grant proposals to secure funding for organizational programs and initiatives
- Collaborate with program managers and staff to gather information and data necessary for grant applications
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's mission, programs, and goals to effectively communicate them in grant proposals
- Manage the grant application process, including tracking deadlines, submitting applications, and following up on the status of submitted proposals
- Conduct prospect research to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a database of potential funders
- Collaborate with finance department to develop budgets for grant proposals

- Proven experience in grant writing and securing funding from various sources
- Strong knowledge of strategic planning and fundraising principles
- Proficiency in using fundraising software such as Raiser's Edge or similar databases
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear, concise, and persuasive proposals
- Attention to detail and strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in grant applications
- Ability to conduct thorough research on potential funders and stay updated on current trends in grant funding
- Experience in budgeting and financial analysis for grant proposals
- Ability to edit and review contracts related to grant agreements
