POSITION OVERVIEW

You may be just who we are looking for to join our Executive Leadership Team as the Chief Financial Officer in our New Orleans office! This vital position demands a strategic blend of financial acumen and business development expertise. You will steer our financial trajectory, maximizing revenue, pinpointing cost efficiencies, and spearheading comprehensive financial strategies for sustained growth and profitability. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our organization's financial future while being an integral part of our vibrant team culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement overarching financial strategies aligned with our business objectives. Create forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans, ensuring their successful execution. Collaborate closely with the Executive Team on key initiatives driving growth and continuous improvement. 

 

  • Analysis & Reporting: Regularly deliver incisive financial reports. Dive deep into financial data, performance metrics, and market trends to unearth actionable insights. Oversee AOS’s financial activities, ensuring optimal cash flow while regularly communicating our financial stature and future prospects.

 

  • Budget Oversight: Direct annual budgeting in partnership with divisional leaders, driving towards realistic targets. Implement strategies for cost control, while keeping a keen eye on budget performance and focus on operational efficiency.

 

  • Risk & Compliance Management: Champion robust risk assessments, safeguarding assets and ensuring rigorous financial compliance.

 

  • Team Leadership: Cultivate a high-performing financial team; manage IT systems and liaise with external service partners. Promote a culture rooted in transparency and ethics.

 

  • Business Analysis & Decision Support: Act as the financial compass for the company, guiding business evaluations, financial decision-making, and contract negotiations.

 

 

EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. CPA qualification a strong plus.

 

  • Minimum 5 years in a senior financial role, exhibiting expertise in financial planning and risk management.

 

  • Proficient in financial database and accounting systems; familiarity with CORE system a bonus.

 

  • Outstanding communication skills, with a flair for translating financial insights for diverse audiences.

 

  • Passionate leadership, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous growth.
