Job Description
Ingest. Restaurant Data Made Easier.
Ingest is a data management and analytics platform for restaurants and F&B retailers. By integrating with the tools and systems that businesses rely on (think Toast, Resy, etc.), Ingest connects separate data sources to unlock hard-to-reach metrics, giving decision makers the real-time insights they need to better run their businesses. Through interactive dashboards, emailed PDF Flash Reports, and exportable .csv files, everyone in the business can see what's working, what’s not, and where improvements can be made.
The Role:
Our Senior API Engineer will work directly with the Product team to create scalable APIs to service the ingest BI and data management platform.
Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):
- Shape the direction of the Ingest product by building, testing, and maintaining data service and API layer Python code to support a BI platform specific to the food service industry
- Architect solutions to complex problems involving distributed processes, multi-tenancy, and performance optimizations
- Model and implement systems to represent and persist configuration settings across a wide variety of customers with unique data needs
- Work on systems to convert customer needs into database queries and generate insights and visualizations from the results, including parsing, query generation, and natural language processing.
