Ingest. Restaurant Data Made Easier.

Ingest is a data management and analytics platform for restaurants and F&B retailers. By integrating with the tools and systems that businesses rely on (think Toast, Resy, etc.), Ingest connects separate data sources to unlock hard-to-reach metrics, giving decision makers the real-time insights they need to better run their businesses. Through interactive dashboards, emailed PDF Flash Reports, and exportable .csv files, everyone in the business can see what's working, what’s not, and where improvements can be made.

The Role:

Our Site Reliability Engineer will be working with the application and data engineering team to ensure customers get timely, reliable data. You’ll be architecting and implementing data ingestion and application-side infrastructure alongside the toolset to maintain and monitor it.

Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

• Architect and automate cloud infrastructure for managing thousands of independently unique customer configurations and distributed data workflows to deliver consistent and reliable data.
• Employ DevOps practices to enable self-service development lifecycle across the application and data stack
• Monitor and estimate infrastructure budgets
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure the reliability and timeliness of data deliverables
• Implement and refine monitoring for the platform and data stack
• Develop strategies to shard and distribute data to maintain application performance as we scale up the volume and diversity of our customer base.

Skills & Abilities (What You’ll Bring):

Required:

• Proficient with Python, Bash scripting, and Terraform
• Experience with GCP or a similar cloud provider
• Experience with Postgres
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Prometheus +  Grafana and/or a similar monitoring stack
• 5+ years of experience
• Strong communication skills and capacity for teamwork
• Self-driven and capable of working in a remote role without hand-holding
