Job Description
We are looking for a structural engineer to assist in structural investigations, analyses, and repair design. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and qualification of buildings, structures and site work in accordance with regulatory codes and industry standards
- Structural qualification of mechanical equipment and systems
- Forensic investigations of structural and equipment failures
- Design and deployment of field and laboratory equipment
- Design and implementation of equipment for structural monitoring
- Advanced analysis of equipment, systems and structures using finite element codes
- Materials engineering and evaluations
Qualifications
The ideal candidate possesses:
- 2 to 10 years of experience in the design and/or investigation of structures
- Licensure – EIT min., NYS PE preferred
- Degree – ABET-accredited undergraduate degree and Master of Science or Ph.D. in Civil/Structural engineering
- Solid foundation in the principles of mechanics.
- Proficient in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, RISA, STAAD, or RAM
- Familiarity with building codes and standards including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and ACI 318
- Experience in field and/or lab preferred.

Salary Range 80k to 130k
