Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Mechanic)

Department: Maintenance

Supervisor: Maintenance Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Harahan, LA

Summary

The Maintenance Technician keeps the plant and equipment in safe and efficient working order and provides for installation of any new equipment and basic remodeling needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following duties.  Other duties may be assigned

Maintains the highest possible technical machine uptime for the production floor.

Sets-up and repairs production equipment in the most effective and efficient way possible to keep operations running seamlessly.

Tracks, orders, and stocks all necessary replacement parts for production equipment.

Trains new maintenance employees.

Maintains a clean and organized work area.

Performs preventive maintenance on scheduled intervals.

Provides quick feedback to management on poor materials causing less than expected throughput.

Provides analysis or reporting on machine performance.

Pro-actively requests production plans and gets the production line set-up.

Ensures all GMP and safety programs are enforced and maintained.

EVENING SHIFT
2 p.m. to 10 p.m. M-F (Shift schedule may vary due to business needs.) Weekend work and overtime occasionally required.
