BulkAggregateSupply.com is a brand new e-commerce platform revolutionizing an old, broken industry: aggregate materials (think gravel, sand, dirt, etc). Our mission is to provide price transparency and convenient ordering of these materials for homeowners and contractors. The Bulk Aggregate Supply marketplace will function like a cross between Yelp and Amazon, with local supplier search and information as well as online ordering.

BulkAggregateSupply.com is owned by the same owner of Crowley Holdings (www.crowleyholdingsllc.com), an established government contractor providing aggregate material supply and construction services to state and federal government agencies nationwide. Daniel Crowley, founder of Crowley Holdings, conceptualized and is now spearheading BulkAggregateSupply.com as a new private sector offering. 

We are looking for an energetic and organized individual to join our small team and build something unique. This position would be employee #1 at Bulk Aggregate Supply. The employee would wear many hats and the job role would change from month to month as we grow and the business forms. If you want to get in on the ground floor of a brand new company then this is the job for you!

Job Brief

The core role for this position will be to 

1. Call suppliers (quarries)
2. Collect pricing data
3. Get data in the database
4. Handle inbound customer calls/orders
5. Coordinate orders for fulfillment with suppliers

As we grow, inbound call and fulfillment responsibilities will decrease substantially.

As you grow and the marketplace expands, we will support you with technology and people to help with the more basic and monotonous data collection and customer service functions (i.e., data entry agency / freelancer, so you can focus on calling suppliers and receiving price sheets).

If successful in this role, you will have the opportunity to move up to a more managerial position, overseeing larger data, customer service and technology teams while working closely with the ownership group to strategize and grow the business.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must:

• Enjoy building companies from the ground up
• Pay close attention to processes and look for incremental improvements
• Be willing to do boring tasks to learn the core processes and eventually train others
• Feel comfortable on the phone speaking to new people
• Be highly organized and comfortable with project management / CRM tools

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage collection of pricing data for a new online marketplace
• Set up and manage basic software tools like Airtable, Twilio, etc.
• Communicate with contracted developer and marketing teams and owner
• Handle inbound from customers in early stages before full tech build-out
• Coordinate orders for fulfillment with suppliers
