Overall Career Summary 

Entry level Sales Estimator and Supply Chain Analyst. The position focuses on supporting the sales team to achieve customer driven results. This individual will analyze extensive inventories, leveraging extensive price lists, and various modes of transportation to estimate the most efficient way to deliver the customer’s needs.  This position may also be involved with creating price recommendations for bids based on the products and solutions A&K has to offer. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn in the office with other estimators and sales representatives.  A&K offers growth opportunities within the sales department and many other disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities: 

·        Project bid assembly and estimation  

·        Understand and analyze material inventories  

·        Understand and leverage logistics solutions

·        Data entry, proposal assembly and orders entry

·        Utilize Microsoft Office programs to track, enter, and oversee proposals and orders 

·        Track and report assigned status of proposals and order execution

·        Calculate costs as needed for purchases and proposals 

Qualifications & Skills: 

·        Ability to listen, understand, and follow directions 

·        Ability to identify inventory parts and products as requested from customers and outside sales reps  

·        Ability to focus on details  

·        Ability to review, enter, and manipulate data 

·        Ability to organize and prioritize projects or materials for orders 

·        Ability to communicate with team members and outside facing clients 

·        Ability to multi-task on various projects 

·        Ability to remain flexible as specific assignments change 

·        Experience communicating with others within a team setting 

·        Data entry or inventory or supply chain experience  

·        GED / High School Diploma  

Preferred Qualifications: 

·        A desire to foster relations with customers to promote increased sales.

·        Previous experience with ERP or other data entry systems  

·        Previous sales experience in a heavy industry 

·        College degree, other schooling, or experience that is geared towards business or sales
