Can you stand on your feet for up to eight hours? Can you multitask like a superhero? Can you bend and lift to 40 pounds multiple times in one day? Can you come to work on time, in uniform focused and ready to work? Do you have grit? Can you keep of the culture of the Heart of the House… maintaining professionalism at all times while keeping the hot food hot and the cold food cold?
If you answered YES, welcome to the team! Here is a bit of what you will be doing!!!
As we all know, the Line Cook is the heart of our kitchens. We couldn’t serve food without you! To uphold the core of our Mahony’s Funk, you have the responsibility of ensuring the kitchen maintains properly cooked items. Now, this can be a little tough, but you are the person to do it. It means you make everything to the recipes and line builds. You get to show off those cooking skills by making it super hot, super fresh, and so quick we had no idea it could be done that fast! The best part is, you do it this way every single time, which means it is consistent. This way our guests know they get their favorite Mo-boy or po-boy the way they love it every time they visit us!
While you’re doing all this cooking and stuff, you also get to make sure the kitchen is clean and to our highest standards! No one likes a messy kitchen. While your doing that too, you get to wear one of our stylish hats or hairnets, (hey, who doesn’t like to look like a cafeteria worker every once in a while)? You’ll also get to ensure your organizational skills by making sure the line is stocked up with everything you’ll need for each shift. AND the best part, you get to feel like family when you help your teammate out on the station next to you! Building the BEST kitchens with the most FUN is just the job for you!
