JOB TITLE: Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Professional 

* Masters level social workers who possess an RSW license and are preparing to take the LMSW exam within the next 6 months will be considered for this position and can perform all services, except counseling, until the LMSW licensure is obtained

AGENCY DESCRIPTION:

For the past two decades, Milestones has been providing community-based mental health services to children/adolescents with emotional/behavioral disorders in the Greater New Orleans area (Orleans and Jefferson).

Our services include assessments, treatment planning, counseling, supportive interventions, skills building, crisis mitigation services and medication management. We are CARF accredited, and licensed by the Dept. of Health and Hospitals.

Services are Medicaid-funded and are primarily provided in the schools, but are also delivered in the homes and other community locations when the schools are not open and/or if school-based services are not in the best interest of the client. 

NOTE: Delivery of services via telehealth is currently being allowed by Louisiana Dept. of Health and Hospitals until further notice. The use of telehealth with our clients is decided on a case-by-case basis. 

The majority of the services are delivered during the week day, but there may be some clients in need of sessions after school during the week. 

Paid training and supervision is provided to all of our staff (initial and ongoing). Although we are a small           agency employing less than 25 people, we offer benefits and a salary to our employees because we value our staff,

and care about their overall health and financial security.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our  provisionally licensed mental health professionals provide counseling, skills building, supportive interventions and crisis mitigation services . The majority of the services provided are services in which the client is present. 

The remaining services provided each week are services in which the client is not present. Compensation for these services is included in the hourly rate. These services include, but are not limited to, phone calls, travel time, supervision, trainings, written work and coordination with other involved child-serving agencies.

MHP's are responsible for developing and managing their own schedules/appointments. In addition, each clinician is required to coordinate services with other involved child-serving agencies.

 REQUIREMENTS:

* PLPC, LMSW or CSW provisional license required 

* Masters level social workers who possess an RSW license who are preparing to take the LMSW exam within the next 6 months will be considered for this position and can perform all services, except counseling, until the LMSW licensure is obtained

* Strong organizational skills needed for scheduling and meeting deadlines

* Must pass a Criminal background check and drug test

* Must live in the Greater New Orleans area and have reliable transportation

* Must have a computer to enter notes and treatment plans into EHR from off-site

*Must be able to attend group supervision/staffing every other Friday from 9:30-10:30 via Zoom, and return calls to agency staff and clients within 3 hours during business hours 

*Must participate in an on-call crisis rotation to deliver phone assistance during a crisis OR agree to be on call 24/7 for assigned clients

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

 Full-time 

* CSW, LMSW, PLPC -  $45,500 plus $35 per additional hour that exceeds the weekly required hours

* Masters level RSW -   $40,000 plus $30 per additional hour that exceeds the weekly required hours

* $5,000 raise upon full licensure (LCSW/LPC)

Part-time 

* CSW, LMSW, PLPC - $35 per direct client hour (minimum of 12.5 hours per week to maintain employment)

* Masters level RSW -  $30 per direct client hour (minimum of 12.5 hours per week to maintain employment)

* Note:  If employee wants to transition to salary, and if agency is able to accommodate this request, then Paid Time Off and Health/Dental Insurance would be available
