Responsibilities

• Selecting the most effective logistics provider to be used for shipments and confirming that all moves as scheduled.

• Coordinate/plan load plans with Customer Service and Project Managers.

• Working with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to ensure that all shipments reach their final destination on-time and resolving any issues that may arise.

• Ensure operations have been properly closed in ERP systems before processing for payment

• Oversee loading of shipments and confirm shipment loaded/secured properly

• Responsible for providing necessary documentation for shipments

• Communicating with our Customer Service department and customers on the status of shipments that are in-transit.

• Maintaining knowledge of all rules and regulations, that Lapeyre Stair must be in compliance with, related to the shipment of goods to other countries.

• Process freight claims and returns

• Compare actual freight costs to quotes.

• It is essential that this position be performed at the facility

Requirements

• 3+ years experiences in logistics, freight management in a manufacturing environment

• ERP Experience

• Must be a self-managed, hard-working, self-motivated individual.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
