Job Description
Empire Gymnastics is seeking summer camp counselors to join our team this summer! Our summer camp enrollment grows each year, so we need several full-time and part-time workers to be a part of the Empire Summer Camp experience. Our camp is open to boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 12, and they are divided into groups according to age. Full-time counselors will each oversee a group of kids each week, while part-time floaters will help when & where needed to ensure camp runs smoothly.
We're looking to hire our summer camp team by the end of March. Don’t worry if you aren’t familiar with gymnastics! We will provide weekly paid training throughout April and May to prepare for the summer.
General Responsibilities:
- Team meeting in the mornings before camp starts
- Setting up appropriate equipment for the events of the day
- Following given schedules
- Maintaining control of groups of 9-15 children
- Helping with carpool drop-off & pick-up
- Following the given procedures to help children stay safe
- Helping to clean the gym & common areas throughout the day
Required Qualifications:
- Counselors- availability Monday – Friday
- A love for working with kids
- Reliable transportation
- Enthusiastic personality
- Good organizational skills
- Team player
Preferred But NOT Required:
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Previous sports experience
- Knowledge or familiarity with gymnastics, dance, and/or cheerleading
