Job Description
NOLA Crawfish King Seafood & Barbecue is a small, local, family-owned seafood and barbecue restaurant in Gentilly. Crawfish season is among us and we are in need of a caterer who works with our catering team to boil crawfish for our on-site catering boils. There will be LOTS of catering jobs (up to 12 per weekend) come Mardi Gras, which pay a set base rate per job ($125 per 3-hour boil) + you keep your tips. The catering schedule varies, with some weeks being busier than others. If it is a slower week for catering, you can pick up some hours in our restaurant to make up for the slowness. We can answer any questions you may have about any of this.
This job requires a valid driver's license and open availability.
We will train you if you are interested in learning how to boil. We've been in the seafood business for 25+ years-- Come join our team and learn from the best in the industry!
Our restaurant is open from 11-7 PM Wednesday-Sunday, but catering shifts would vary. After Mardi Gras, the restaurant will be open 7 days a week. We will train you on the job at our restaurant and assist with your first few boils.
During training, boil room base pay is $15 an hour plus tip share. We have a whole-house tip pool that is dispersed between the staff based on each individuals amount of hours worked. Hourly pay ends up between $18-20 /hour after tipshare. This would be separate from the higher catering pay when the season starts up, which pays a base of $125 per 3 hour job + tips.

NOLA Crawfish King Seafood & Barbecue is a 25+ year-old small, local, family-owned seafood and barbecue company based out of Gentilly. We have an expansive catering business, two food trucks, and a fast-casual restaurant located at 5321 Franklin Avenue. Our focus is on our boiled crawfish and award-winning barbecue. We are currently trying to build up our team for crawfish season!
