Job Description

Salary:

$ 58,578

Responsibilities:

Performs Sales & Use Tax Auditing functions and duties including but not limited to:


  • Contact vendors and audit financial records, documents, and accounts to ascertain all transactions subject to sales and use tax are properly recorded
  • Examine tax reports to determine that the proper taxes have been paid
  • Identify vendors making taxable sales in the Parish and ensure they are in compliance with tax laws
  • Assist in the collection of delinquent accounts

Certification/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in accounting OR
  • Other business degree with a minor in accounting and three (3) years of successful experience in financial reporting
  • Auditing experience preferred
