Foresite Group, voted a Best Firm to Work For in the A/E/C industry for 13 years, is looking for an entry level Network Designer to support our national Broadband Engineering practice.

Interested candidates should be team players, eager to learn, and excited to travel within the United States for field surveys. Paid on the job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Review rough sketches, designs, specifications, and other data to ensure they conform to design concepts
• Conduct field surveys, inspections or technical investigations to obtain data required to finalize design
• Use schematics, technical drawings, and property records to gather information for senior designers and engineers
• Draft plans for the modifications to existing fiber plant or construction of new fiber plant
• Must be able to travel outside of city and state for field surveys
• Must be physically able to conduct outdoor field surveys in all weather conditions

Skills

• AutoCAD experience and 1+ years knowledge of FTTX architecture design is preferred
• Understands technical requirement
• Demonstrates ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Drafting preferred

Experience: Experience in outside plant design preferred
