Job Description

Confetti & Co is a small event planning company located in New Orleans, LA . Our team is creative, fast-paced and energetic!

We are looking for a motivated person to help organize and oversee the entire process of planning events and weddings. The ideal candidate for this position will be willing to take on several tasks, must be comfortable envisioning creative and effective solutions to problems. In addition, a successful Event Planner must have the ability to coordinate with other companies and individuals, as well as want to be present for the day of event(s). 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the planner to work with client to figure out a budget, venue, guest list, catering and floral arrangements, transportation, and other high important details.
  • Assist in setting up venues and decor items.
  • Communicate with vendors to prepare for the event/wedding.
  • Create a schedule of events to ensure that everything goes according to plan.
  • Creating social media content
  • The ideal candidate can multi-task, adapt to changing needs of the client, and maintain a calm and friendly demeanor, even under pressure! 
  • Management of event logistics, including: the development of the site plan, oversight of setup/break-down materials, management of manpower needs, activities coordination, supply delivery, and other activities as required.
  • Assist in coordinating various marketing methods including networking, internet, social media, and develop new methods of marketing for Confetti & Co.
  • Engage with team on a regular basis to brainstorm ideas for new and innovative marketing and social media campaigns.

Required: 

  • Must be a highly motivated individual who is eager and ready to accept additional responsibilities when needed.
  • Must have a friendly demeanor, the ability to learn new computer programs, can multitask and complete projects in a timely manner. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate exceptional customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hospitality, wedding and/or event planning experience is not required, however, will be highly considered if applicable.
  • This position is a mix of day/night, holidays and weekday/weekend shifts. You must be flexible!
  • Have your own reliable vehicle to transport minor event items, a laptop and working cell phone, and the ability to lift heavy boxes, climb up stairs, or carry multiple items back and forth without extra accommodations
  • Proficient with Gmail, G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Instagram, Tik-Tok and iPhone photo/video editing apps

Education:

  • 1 year of industry specific experience (HRT, Business Administration, Marketing, MBA, Hospitality Industry related jobs)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods

Experience: 

  • Events management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Required)
  • Be available for most Fri, Sat, and Sun and availability during regular business hours for client appointments, office work, and team meetings.
