Job Description
LaPorte is searching for an experienced and talented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Services team in Covington, LA. Qualifications:
- 0 to 2 years experience in public accounting
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA or CPA eligibility preferred
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Advanced thinker & tech-savvy with experience in cloud accounting tools, such as Quickbooks Online, Bill.com, Tallie
- Experience with accounting month end close processes and financial statement preparation
- Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Interest in exploring and learning new technology
- Strong attention to detail
