Job Description
Information Technology Internship Opportunity
The IT Technical Support Intern is responsible for supporting the organization’s computing, network, and telecommunication operations, policies, and procedures. The intern works within a team environment to support the organization’s technology infrastructure, acting as a primary Tier 1 End-User Services Request Management resource. The intern participates in the installation, maintenance, monitoring, administration, and overall support of the hardware and software components which make up the enterprise infrastructure. The position is responsible for supporting computer, network, and communications equipment, as well as providing support for end-users’ software and peripheral needs.
Examples of duties are listed below:
· Performs moves, adds and changes (MAC’s) for compute, print, and phone devices. Provides compute / print / phone support and training to end-users and solves miscellaneous hardware problems.
· Performs preventive maintenance for end-user computer, data communication and / or peripheral equipment; test and adjusts to appropriate standards.
· Assists in the installation of information technology hardware and software.
· Assists the technical team in formulating and submitting requests for new service, repairs, and changes to existing communications network services.
