We are looking for a Glazier Apprentice for a family-owned glass company in the Greater New Orleans area. The ideal candidate will be able to meet or exceed the basic requirements and perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed below.

Pay Range: $18 - $25 / hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning, restocking, and organizing company vehicles
• Preparing materials for jobs
• Checking new glass for accuracy and acceptability
• Helping glaziers in the field - install storefront doors, window glass, showers enclosures, mirrors, etc.
• The ability to follow directions promptly and accurately
• The ability to learn new skills quickly
• The ability and willingness to follow all safety protocols
• Safe driving habits
• Safe glass handling and ladder setting skills after reasonable training
• Respectful and appropriate behavior in customers'' homes as well as in the shop and office
• Communicate with the sales representative regarding any complaints or additional sales opportunities
• Use of power tools that include drill motors, rotor hammers, chop saws, screw guns, and glass lifting equipment

Requirements:

• Ability to read a tape measure, ruler, gauge, etc.
• Glass experience is preferred but not a requirement
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
• A strong work ethic and a good attitude
