Job Description
What role would I play at SNS?
This is a hybrid role: some administrative tasks, some accounting and bookkeeping, some finance, some data analysis. It's work that's considered back office, but at SNS it's client-facing. If you don’t already have prior experience in some of these areas but are excited to learn, we’ll train you in best practices along the way. If you took an accounting course and it "clicked" for you, and if you secretly think spreadsheets are fun, then this may be a good role for you.
What makes me an ideal candidate for this role?
· Very strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to take direction and provide support on day-to-day administrative duties and data entry.
· Sharing our enthusiasm for getting business owners out of the Finance seat.
How will this role support your professional growth?
We offer robust resume-building experience at SNS. You show up with what you learned in your Finance and Accounting courses and put that knowledge to work immediately. You’ll help the team clean up clients’ books and records, build financial projections, run monthly accounting close procedures, and stand up processes that will run efficiently and reduce errors. You’ll gain specific experience in tools like Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks Online, Asana, and Microsoft Teams.
Because we’re a small, close-knit office, you won’t be siloed into one task or area of responsibility—you’ll wear multiple hats just like the rest of us. You’ll also have lots of exposure to the Executives of the company and see what is involved in running a business beyond the client work. You’ll help with tasks related to Business Development, HR, Marketing, Corporate Real Estate, etc. We’ll give you lots to talk about in your next interview and skills that are broadly applicable throughout a wide variety of career paths. Or if you find you love our mission as much as we do, master the tasks we give you, and are hungry to learn more, there are also opportunities to advance within SNS after you graduate.

This is a part-time, paid ($13/hour) position. Ideal candidates can commit to at least six months in the role. This position requires between 15-20 hours per week of availability.
