Job Description
Overview
Greater New Orleans, Inc. (GNO, Inc.) is the regional economic development organization for Southeast Louisiana. GNO, Inc.’s mission is to create a Greater New Orleans with a thriving economy, and an excellent quality of life for everyone by serving as a catalyst for wealth creation in the 10-parish region of Southeastern Louisiana. Its vision is for the Greater New Orleans region to fulfill its potential as one of the best places in the country to grow a company and raise a family.
The Talent Solutions Manager will have an overall focus on attracting and retaining talent in our region. With the overall talent shortage across our country, GNO, Inc. plays an active role in assisting our companies in identifying talent for key positions and roles, while selling the strong quality of life aspects of our region. While the specific duties of the Talent Solutions Manager are detailed below, the organization operates with a cross-functional mentality. It is a job with both significant responsibility and significant reward, including exposure to a broad range of business and economic development leaders across the region and state. The Talent Solutions Manager reports to the Senior Vice President of Business Development.
Key Success Factors
A successful Talent Solutions Manager will:
· Work closely with regional businesses and business attraction prospects to develop recruiting strategies to identify key talent and leverage existing regional talent resources
· Cultivate strong relationships with regional higher education, training, and workforce center partners, to develop targeted talent pipelines that align with in-demand job opportunities
· Become a subject matter expert on quality of life attributes across the region; provide neighborhood tours and talent orientation and onboarding assistance (quality of life “concierge services”) to new companies moving into the market as well as key relocating talent and their accompanying partners for investor companies
· Co-manage and promote digital assets showcasing regional talent, employment, and quality of life opportunities, including Destination GNO, WorkNOLA, and marketing materials created for the regional HR community to use for recruiting and onboarding
· Develop a talent attraction strategy to help bring awareness to employment opportunities in Greater New Orleans, as well as strategy for recruiting remote workers to the region
· Project manage and create/execute programming for numerous talent/workforce grant award deliverables including, but not limited to, military talent, women in construction/manufacturing and others
· Create and execute signature Employer Connections Roundtable series, talent-focused programming to further employer and higher education connections, establish new recruiting partnerships, and promote and support GNOu workforce training model
· Support the Senior Vice President of Business Development with various other projects and initiatives, as needed
Qualifications
Experience: At least 5 years of experience in talent recruiting, executive recruitment, HR, marketing, or economic development.
Skills and Capabilities:
The ideal candidate will possess many of these professional and personal abilities and attributes:
· Demonstrated success in talent recruitment, human resources, marketing, economic development
· Experience, confidence, independence, and self-starting with a sense of urgency
· Ability to work independently and make intelligent decisions
· Produces accurate work while meeting deadlines, with extraordinary attention to detail
· Manages complex relationships, i.e. governmental, community, and business
· Works in a team-oriented, goals-driven organization that emphasizes a friendly culture and takes ownership of work responsibilities
· Intermediate to advanced-level knowledge of Salesforce and MS Office products
Allowable Substitutions: A combination of education, experience, and/or training that provides the required knowledge and skills for the position may be considered in lieu of education and/or experience at GNO, Inc.’s discretion.

Compensation commensurate with experience; generous benefits package available; potential for performance bonuses.
