Job Description
Intralox, L.L.C., the world leader in conveyor equipment solutions utilizing modular plastic conveyor belts, is transforming how we develop and deliver technical content, both to our customers and internally. To help support this effort, we're looking for a supervisor with equal parts skill, experience, and ambition to join our Technical Communications Group and help lead our internal technical documentation.
This can be a primarily remote role. You will be expected to live within a reasonable distance from our Louisiana headquarters or willing to travel as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of writers dedicated to internal tech content.
- Contribute to the overall strategic direction of solutions and ensure alignment with department initiatives.
- Provide guidance for writers in the creation and delivery of structured content that solves problems.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of solutions to gain efficiencies in workflows and content lifecycles.
- Provides support for career growth and personal development of team members.
- Manage writers in the migration from unstructured to structured documentation.
- Review content and provide direction for writers to ensure documentation is clear and serves the intended purpose.
- Work closely with manufacturing groups to understand their needs and deliver content solutions that support the function of their teams.
- Guide technical writers in the creation of project scopes, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage resource needs and address capacity constraints.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing.
- Experience managing writers or leading a team.
- Experience developing or implementing a content strategy.
- Familiarity with component content management systems (CCMS), metadata, taxonomy, etc.
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and complete initiatives to achieve high quality results, including the ability to set and manage prioritiesfor self and direct reports.
- Skilled at building relationships, connecting people and information, and working across groups to identify gaps and develop solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- A dynamic, motivated, self-managed individual capable of being a strong team player.
- Ability to leadand direct the work of others and helps ensure the work of the team aligns with overall department initiatives.
- Experience with translation processes and the management of translations.
- Very high level of organizational skills and the ability to layout information logically.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with DITA and XML structures.
- Experience working in the manufacturing industry or with physical equipment documentation.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
