Position Summary:


Loyola University of New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated doctoral prepared individual who has demonstrated education and clinical practice skills to join our team as director of the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track. This position is a full-time 12-month faculty position (rank commensurate with experience) that also holds an administrative appointment related to managing the FNP program. Our FNP program has both a BSN-MSN and BSN-DNP track. The program director reports to the director of the school of nursing.

 

Responsibilities include:

·      Day to day program operations of the FNP program.

·      Development and continuous improvement of the FNP curricula.

·      Manage, mentor, and evaluate FNP faculty in development of instructional materials, teaching strategies and assessment measures.

·      Collaborate with faculty and other program directors in the school of nursing.

·      Support and execute initiatives of the school of nursing leadership.

·      Assess outcomes and evaluations, and monitor student learning objectives.

·      Guide and mentor students during their course of study.

·      Maintain clinical practice competence.

·      Maintain scholarship and actively participate in professional organizations.

·      Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

·      A doctoral degree in nursing.

·      A license to practice as a registered nurse and APRN or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana.

·      Current FNP certification.

·      Experience in MSN, DNP, and FNP education.

·      Experience with online education.
