Job Description

Responsibilities:


Provide support to the instructional program with specific responsibilities of complementing classroom instruction with software applications and technology, maintaining overall computer lab technology, providing software purchase recommendations and conveying information regarding instructional materials including but not limited to:

· Developing schedules for labs or classrooms in the coordination of student and teacher use of Chromebook operations and maintenance

· Installing software applications for the purpose of providing instructional materials

· Monitoring student work for the purpose of providing a safe and positive learning environment

· Trouble-shooting malfunctions of hardware and/or software applications to determine appropriate actions or next steps in resolving problems

· Coordinating and collaborating with all stakeholders to support the work necessary in maintaining a strong relationship 


Certification / Requirements:

· High School diploma or equivalent -OR- possess an Associates Degree

· Minimum of 2 (two) years experience in utilizing various hardware and/or software application relative to effective school functioning

· Ability to manage multiple projects and time lines simultaneously

· Ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple forms of data entry using various computer applications

· Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders

· Successful experience working with students preferred

All Technical Assistants new to St. Charles Parish Public Schools are provided with support to foster success and growth, including but not limited to:

· District On-boarding session

· School based transition support

· Participation in district-based technology support meetings, in-service training and workshops in order to gather information and perform expected functions

· Employee appreciation events and recognition opportunities for support staff
