Job Description
Laitram Machine Shop, L.L.C. has a position available for a Manufacturing Engineer in our Harahan shop.

Responsibilities:
- Document current processes and identify opportunities to improve throughput
- Create solutions and alternatives for specific manufacturing problems
- Design work holding, tooling, and programming templates to manufacture parts using CNC equipment
- Partner with external customers to review and improve the manufacturability of parts
- Optimize production methods for individual parts
- Identify technology and services that deliver best in class solutions to machining a wide variety of parts
- Lead cross functional teams to develop and implement technology solutions and improve process
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 2+ years combined experience in plant engineering and technical project management
- Proven experience leading cross functional teams
- Proven approach to problem solving, improving order flow, and eliminating waste
- Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources concurrently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Lean manufacturing trained
- Experience with troubleshooting and root cause failure analysis
- CAD/CAM software experience (e.g., MasterCAM, SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
