About Glass Half Full

Map Pin IconOrleans ParishCompany Profile

Glass Half Full was founded in 2020 with the goal of turning New Orleans’ glass into something beneficial for the community and the environment. To start, Fran and Max launched a GoFundMe campaign that raised enough money to begin recycling glass in a backyard.

Now, we collect millions of pounds of glass every year and convert it into sand and cullet for coastal restoration, disaster relief, and the manufacturing of new glass products. We collect glass throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama and process it at our 3-acre, state-of-the-art recycling facility in Chalmette. We host free drop-off glass recycling for all residents and offer a paid door-to-door pickup service for residents and businesses.

Glass Half Full’s vision is to recycle one billion bottles annually and convert it into usable resources for the community and the environment.
