Intralox, L.L.C. is currently seeking an Engineering Technician for the Commercial Test Group. The responsibilities for this position will include product testing, testing field equipment design, fabrication and assembly, and assisting other Intralox groups.

Commercial Test Group Engineering Technician will conduct all aspects of the application testing from physical setup, data collection, and results reporting. The use of basic physics will be used to gain the understanding of how system is behaving.

Responsibilities

• Support, develop and promote modular plastic belt through application specific testing using customer products.
• Achieve client requirements through theory, application, and use of Intralox product line.
• Generate reports reflecting significant test results and methodology.
• Provide 2D/3D design support to sales teams for design of new test equipment and products for test/prototype applications.
• Maintenance of database of historical documentation of testing results.
• Testing and set-up for customer visits
• Support Account Managers in the selling and implementation of conveyors
• Support of other Intralox groups, i.e. Tradeshow (travel is required)

Requirements

• Self-motivated and organized
• Hands on technical skills; tools, machinery, fasteners, etc…
• Exposure to electrical systems is a plus.
• Understanding of basic physics principles
• Equipment set up experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, proactive attitude, with attention to detail.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Goal oriented team player.
• Excellent computer skills with some exposure to CAD (Solidworks)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with team members and with internal and external customers, including management, engineers, and plant personnel.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude and interest - ability to research, understand, and communicate concepts associated with a given technology.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, and resources.
• Travel required up to 25-30% of the time and weekend work when necessary.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely, and work standing up for an extended period in an unconditioned warehouse
