What We're Looking For

Our boutique marketing and design agency specializes in website development, digital storytelling, and graphic design, and building transmedia platforms for products or organizations. No two days are the same, and our team members are always presented with opportunities to grow or show off their skills in graphic design, copywriting, or strategy. The Marketing Assistant position is open to college seniors, recent graduates, and candidates looking to grow prior experience in marketing. This position is perfect for someone who aims to be an entrepreneur or has entrepreneurial experience. The right candidate will work alongside the creative director and owner. This position is primarily remote with daily check-ins on Slack, a mandatory in-person meeting each week at our office space in the Bywater, and the occasional social media photo or video assignment on location. Our marketing assistant will work 20 hours a week and will receive $950 a month (that's roughly $15/hour).


About This Role

  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
  • Support Creative Director and designers in organizing various projects and pitches
  • Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/ questionnaires
  • Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (social media, web analytics, rankings etc.)
  • Maintaining spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
  • Assist in the organizing of productions and traditional or digital campaigns and attend them to facilitate their success
  • Assist in the implementation of design, copywriting for online and offline marketing services
  • Prepare and deliver promotional presentations
  • Compose and post online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
  • Write marketing literature (brochures, websites, social media etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
  • Communicate directly with clients and designers when needed, and encourage trusting relationships


The Ideal Person For This Role


  • Has experience using a DSLR camera
  • Has proven experience working in design, communications, and/or managing social media
  • Has proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Adobe Premiere and After Effects knowledge is a plus
  • Good understanding of design principles for websites, social media etc. 
  • Proven experience with promotional campaigns on social media
  • Squarespace and/or Wordpress experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach
  • Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, marketing computer software and online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, Google Adwords etc.)
  • Exquisite communication and people skills
  • Excellent knowledge of project management tools like Monday.com
  • High School diploma; BS in Marketing, Business, Communications or relevant field; or proven experience in the field of marketing. IDEAL FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS!!!

  • You enjoy coming up with ideas for creative content to connect with people.
  • You’re know stranger to using your phone to quickly capture moments, or you know your way around a DSLR camera. 
  • You’ve used project management platforms like Asana or Monday.com. 
  • You have an eye for design and detail.
  • You’ve been told that you are a great writer. 
  • You love creating things that will live on the internet.
  • You can commit to working 20 hours a week.
  • You’re looking for a contract position.
  • You enjoy analyzing and implementing creative marketing strategies and tactics.
  • You’re practical and able to connect the dots between creative ideas and client goals
  • You can adapt easily to a remote team environment. 
  • You are able to work M-F in a remote location of your choosing between the hours of 9am to 6pm. Feel free to work in our office located in the Bywater for free wifi and cold brew. 
  • You are able to come to our New Orleans office for mandatory weekly meetings.
  • You are located in the Greater New Orleans Region.
  • You have reliable transportation.
  • You own a laptop.
