Job Description

MARKETING INTERNSHIP

As a Marketing Intern for our companies, you will create, post and analyze content to share company culture, highlight the workforce, and promote strong marketing content. You will help shape brand awareness and maintain a consistent brand voice and personality throughout all company and social media platforms. Strong writing skills and creativity are a must. Digital media content creation will be your primary focus.

Job Description: The position will work in the Marketing and Public Relations Department to assist in the production of marketing, promotional and recruitment campaigns and internal relation and retention strategies. Items that the department will be focusing on include the production of marketing and promotional materials, advertisements, press releases, print publications, newsletters, website maintenance, special events, and community relations.

The individual will assist in the:

• Creation of media content and graphics for use in marketing, advertising campaigns, and promotional materials.

• In creating ways to use social platforms and digital content to tell stories and build our audience. The candidate will assist in the dissemination of information across social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads and Instagram.

• Day-to-day digital marketing support.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Create content for marketing of our brand.

· Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company brand.

· Working with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns.

· Analyzing each company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements.

· Researching social media trends and informing department of changes that are relevant to marketing activities.

· Working with Sales and Marketing team to assure cohesiveness of all content.

Working with the HR Department.

Qualifications:

Adobe Photoshop knowledge preferred.
Experience utilizing social media programs primarily Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Instagram.

Experience in Microsoft Office software programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This paid internship is available for the spring semester and entails 15-20 hours per week. The position will be based in New Orleans, LA.

Associated Terminals and Turn Services provide maritime services including stevedoring, logistics, terminal and Port operations, fleeting and barge related services.

Our companies have grown the premier provider of marine services in the Gulf South Region, with its primary concentration being the Lower Mississippi River from the mouth of the river up to and including Baton Rouge.

Position will be based in New Orleans.
