Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Lab Lecturer (Math and Sciences) (Bard Early College New Orleans)


Position Description


Bard Early College New Orleans (BECNO), a partnership between Bard College and the Louisiana Department of Education invites applications for an adjunct faculty position  as a Math and Science Lecturer for this spring semester which starts in January 2022.


Job responsibilities include:


  • Teaching either one Math or Science course as an adjunct
  • Course Coordination with FT Math and Science faculty
  • Designing, developing, and delivering material to support math and science tutoring
  • Engaging with students on science labs and/or math workshops
  • Attending faculty meetings


Qualifications


  • Candidates who will either have a Master’s, who are ABD/PhD in a math or science field, and/or college teaching experience are preferred.
  • We are seeking candidates with familiarity using participatory pedagogy, a focus on interdisciplinarity in their curricular design, and a demonstrated commitment to promoting diverse working and learning environments. 
  • We are seeking educators with a commitment to social justice, who are passionate about their fields of study, and interested in working to advance equity through rigorous curricula made accessible to students with varied academic preparation.
