Job Description
GulfCorps crew members will receive career training and experience in the conservation and restoration of the environment. Members will work 32 hours per week, usually 7 AM to 3:30 PM, typically Monday through Thursday. Members will spend the majority of their time working outdoors. Some of the activities include: planting trees, removing invasive species, trail and boardwalk maintenance, ecosystem restoration, water quality sampling, protecting endangered species, etc.
Applicants need to be 18 years or older and must be fully vaccinated by their start date.
Graduates of the program may earn a scholarship in addition to an hourly wage.

Orleans ParishCompany ProfileLVI is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization devoted to creating opportunities for disconnected young adults. LVI provides free environmental conservation workforce development and job training. To date, LVI has trained over 600 local individuals with a placement rate of 75%. Participants can earn money, a scholarship, and career-related training. LVI programs include participation in community service learning projects that help build career skills while helping the environment.
