Hynes Charter School Corporation (HCSC) seeks a substitute to join our community for the 2020-2021 academic year.

You are dedicated to enhancing the social-emotional development of the students and you believe that recognition and celebrations are part of the learning process.

You will perform the instructional and classroom management processes for teachers that are absent for a day or longer periods of time, which include

  • Following the lesson plan provided by the homeroom teacher.
  • Explaining the assignments.
  • Overseeing students outside of the classroom including in the hallways and cafeteria.
  • Taking attendance documenting daily notes.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for the participants and keep the room clean and orderly.

Strategically created to meet the demands of enrollment from the original campus, Hynes-UNO was formed with a corporate partnership with the University of New Orleans. HCSC has a growth plan in place that has been intentionally cultivated through our expansion and replication efforts to model the success of our other two programs (Lakeview and UNO). HCSC will operate Mary D. Coghill K-8 Elementary School for the 2021-2022 school year, collaborating closely with NOLA-PS to ensure a successful transition year.
