Job Description

Now Accepting Applicants for Spring 2022

Communities In Schools of the Gulf South, Inc. seeks master’s level counseling and social work students to intern on the campus of a public school that serves students in a PK-8th or 9th-12th setting. The intern will work directly under one of our highly qualified site coordinators(Licensed Counselors and Social Workers). CIS Student Interns will provide direct counseling services to students both in individual and group settings and deliver classroom lessons and/or presentations. Student interns will conduct needs assessments, create and implement individual student support plans, collect and track relevant data. CIS seeks a goal-orientated intern with exemplary communication skills and a desire to practice their counseling skills in a demanding but rewarding environment.

This position is open to current counseling and social work students enrolled in Practicum and/or Internship courses.
