Job Description
The Administrative Program Coordinator, Major Gifts is an administrative position reporting to the Senior Director of Development. The position provides travel and administrative support to frontline officers for advancement-related activities. The position assists with the coordination of program events and other special projects. The Administrative Program Coordinator works closely with other departments within Advancement including other Major Gifts teams, Gift Planning, Stewardship, Corporate & Foundation Relations, Alumni Relations, Development Communications and other departments throughout the university.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple demands and multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
- Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and keep projects on task meeting and exceeding timeline expectations.
- Ability to work occasional nights and weekends.
Required Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
OR
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years’ related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Knowledge of university fundraising.
