Chaffe & Associates, Inc. is a New Orleans-based investment banking firm that provides independent merger and acquisition, valuation, and corporate finance services to businesses and financial institutions. Our clients include privately-owned and family businesses, and publicly traded companies in a variety of industries, as well as banks and other financial institutions.

The Merger & Acquisition Group is looking for a full-time person to participate in client engagements on both sell-side and buy-side assignments, to assist in the preparation of fairness opinions and valuations, and to perform other tasks as appropriate to the job and your developing skill set.

Responsibilities:

·         Equity analysis; financial statement analysis, and valuation of companies

·         Preparation of valuation reports, and information memoranda relating to company sale assignments

·         Preparation of marketing materials for solicitation of new clients

·         Due diligence on companies

·         Heavy database research

·         Industry, market research

Requirements:

Education: M.B.A. or Masters of Finance preferred; undergraduate business degree acceptable; major or concentration in finance or accounting. Completed 12 hours of accounting and 12 hours of finance; minimum GPA 3.5.

Background: Demonstrated interest in finance and/or M&A through relevant work/internship experiences.  Expert in Excel and PowerPoint. 

Work Authorization:  US citizen or Green Card holder only.

Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong problem-solving skills. High attention to detail; inquisitive creative team player ready to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Confident in ability to communicate with C-level executives and other professionals.

Candidate will be required to hold Series 7, 79 and 63 licenses from FINRA, and is expected to pass these exams within six months of beginning employment.
