Job Description

The Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation, a 501(c) 3 tax exempt organization is seeking an Executive Director to manage its day to day operations, including the development of the goals and strategies, and implementation and administration for all operational, programmatic and fundraising activities. In addition, this position oversees our  ProStart program in high schools across the state,  LRAEF Scholars program and our workforce development and apprenticeship activities.

 

The Director will lead all EF fundraising activities and campaigns and establish goals and budgets for annual, planned and major gifts.  Additionally, will provide key contact for existing partners and sponsors. This position will plan, manage and execute LRA EF board meetings, administration and governance while working with other LRA staff on execution of annual LRA events and other fundraising activities.

 

Manage staff to assure timely and accurate program management and task completion as well as investigation of opportunities for potential grants and grant application process. Responsible for presenting an annual operating budget for the EF, providing regular updates to the Board and operating within the budget guidelines.

 

Ideal candidate is comfortable engaging with industry funders, influencers, and education partners including high school/career centers, Louisiana Department of Education, LCTCS and career/tech education leadership in parish school systems. Serves as key liaison with the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.

 

Position requires a four-year college degree and a minimum of 7 years of experience in non-profit, foundation development and management.  A focus on education is desirable. Master’s Degree preferred and CFRE certification is desired.  The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and management skills including staff development, and problem solving and analytical skills. Key success will require executing an effective donor development process.
