Job Description

Come work with sister programs Hagar's House and Project Ishmael at First Grace UMC in New Orleans as a 2021-22 bilingual Young Adult Volunteer (YAV)

Roles include:

  1. Working one on one and in community with families at Hagar's House, our home for women and children,
  2. Supporting immigrant children and youth in New Orleans as they move through (and win!) their immigration cases, and
  3. Some support work in the nonprofit as needed (grant research, donor communication, social media, office needs).

Requirements: 19 and older, speak Spanish and English, self-motivation and time management skills, love for people and a commitment to undoing oppressions. If interested, please email  Dan@pbysouthla.org and ProjectIshmaelNOLA@gmail.com for the application process.
