Job Description
The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana is looking for an administrative assistant. The ideal candidate will complete administrative tasks to support the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HCCL) goals and values.

Job Description:
The Administrative Assistant reports to the President & CEO and is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that chamber’s operations are maintained in an effective and efficient manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in general business administration or public administration
· MUST BE COMPLETELY BILINGUAL in English and Spanish Written & Spoken
· Fully proficient in the use of MS Office Suite and Apple software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
· Basic graphic design knowledge
· Familiarity with ChamberMaster and WordPress is strongly preferred
· Organized & attention to detail
· Willingness to learn and follow instructions
· Excellent problem solving & people skills
· Able to handle a fast paced business environment
· Have basic knowledge of business etiquette, language, and protocol
Physical Requirements:
Physical ability to do the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations. Physical requirements to be expected within the scope of responsibilities include occasional light lifting; ability to sit or remain stationary, sometimes for several hours at a time; and ability to work at a computer station for several hours per day.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Handle Membership: Invoicing, recording payments, utilizing database program
· Manage new prospects and members, and input into database program and hard files.
· Create spreadsheets, orientations kits, resource packages, event hand outs (flyers, programs, brochures, etc.)
· Assist in planning events including but not limited to venue research, speaker requests and follow ups, guest list compilation and management.
· Oversee all administrative aspects of seminars including registrations, confirmations, certificates, preparation of materials to seminar sight
· Provide members with customer service regarding membership benefits, business resources, events, etc.
· Availability to attend events outside of office hours.
· Flexibility to meet organization goals.
· Oversee all social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Mailchimp & LinkedIn
· Create all social media content through Canva.com or Publisher.
· Communicate with resource partners regarding events, and members
· Respond to email and correspondence throughout the day including outside office hours.
· Attend and work high level business luncheons, networking events, trade shows, etc.
· Educate the public at large about the Hispanic Chamber, membership, resources, & benefits
· Direct calls and respond to inquiries
· Greet and assist visitors
· Perform other duties as assigned
· Delegate and share tasks among intern; Ability to teach each task assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $16.00 to $17.00 / hour (dependent on experience)
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Occasional weekend, evening or special event assistance may be required).

● Graphic Design: 1 year (Preferred)
