Crescent City Law (CCL) is a small, but growing law firm serving the Greater New Orleans Area. Established in 2010, CCL has served clients in multiple areas of legal advocacy, but current practice areas focus on traffic tickets, criminal defense, expungements, and personal. The practice currently employs its founding partner, John Radziewicz, an accomplished attorney and a paralegal. Together, the CCL team has served thousands of clients in the New Orleans area with a compassionate yet aggressive approach, both in and outside of the courtroom. Built on this foundation, Crescent City Law is committed to providing diligent, trustworthy services to our clients that are personalized to each individual’s own case, needs, and goals.

Crescent City Law has experienced increased client demand over the past year. Therefore, CCL is looking to add a full-time associate attorney to its team. The proven ability to deliver successful customer service experiences is a must. A successful CCL associate will have demonstrated alignment with the firm’s values. An ideal candidate will have prior customer service experience and be able to apply their past experience to client relationships and courtroom advocacy. Past experience with expungements and personal injury is a plus.
The CCL associate must be driven and passionate and able to manage all case-related and administrative matters (with some support). Comfort with and interest in practice management technology is a must. Crescent City Law works with a diverse array of clients, so the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience communicating compassionately and respectfully with a multitude of personalities.
Primary Responsibilities
Legal
- Advise clients in legal matters related to the firm’s practice areas.
- Appear in court almost every day of the week.
- Conduct research and create written documents to support client management.
- File documents and appear in court on client behalf.
- Notarize documents as needed/requested.
Client Experience
- Manage client relationships to the point of mutual success, achieving alignment through the duration of each case.
- Set realistic expectations regarding each client’s case, and manage expectations to provide a positive client experience.
- Listen to, identify, and understand client desires and concerns.
- Strategically manage cases to pursue the best possible client outcomes while mitigating their concerns.
Administrative
- Use CLIO practice management software to manage all aspects of the client relationship.
- Manage client requests and communications.
- Manage staff paralegal in order to meet deadlines and achieve client outcomes.
- Report to Partner on productivity, needs, and work expectations.
- Support the billing process and assist in securing client payment.
Firm Growth & Business Development
- Ability to multitask will be an important skill of candidates.
- Candidates will have direct contact with new and returning clients.
- Field calls and emails from prospective clients.
- Perform the client intake process with each new and return client.
- Generate quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
- Serve as an ambassador for CCL both in court and in the community.
- Network and build relationships with new prospects and other attorneys.
- Support the firm’s marketing efforts by contributing written blog content.
- Contribute to the thought leadership of the firm through public speaking and media opportunities.
Experience and Skills
- License to practice law in the state of Louisiana.
- Existing notary license, or able to obtain.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven success in client attraction and retention.
- Successful relationship management experience.
- Trustworthy and able to handle sensitive client and firm information with respect and discretion.
- Comfort with practice management software and multi-line phone systems.
- Prior experience with sales, restaurant service, and customer service.
- Preferred multi-lingual (Spanish or Arabic).
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and CLIO or other practice management systems.
Salary and Benefits
- This is a full-time position at a small law firm. However, each new hire will be subject to a 3 month trial period to determine whether they exhibit and practice the firm’s values.

The right fit for this role will have 1 to 5 years courtroom experience in the areas of traffic violations and personal injury. The ideal candidate is willing to bring an existing caseload to the practice and has a strong desire to grow client portfolio and possibly geographic reach. The CCL associate must be driven and passionate and able to manage all case-related and administrative matters independently. Crescent City Law works with clients from all walks of life, so the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience communicating compassionately and respectfully with a diverse array of personalities.
