Connect for a Cause

Once a nonprofit registers to use the site, its nonprofit status is verified and it can begin hosting auctions for 60 minute lunches with VIPs it recruits to participate. The nonprofit posts the VIP’s Bio on the site and is solely responsible for its contents. Only Registered Bidders are allowed to place bids. Auctions will run for 14 days after the starting bid has been made. The Winning Bidder’s account will be charged when the auction ends. The nonprofit will schedule the lunch meeting for a mutually convenient day, time and place by offering the Winning Bidder several dates suggested by the VIP. If none of those dates fit the Winning Bidder’s schedule, the VIP proposes several more, and the process continues until a date is agreed upon. When the lunch has taken place, Connect for a Cause will forward the winning bid amount (less a processing fee) to the sponsoring nonprofit.
