Since 1896, Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana’s mission has been to serve and uplift New Orleans’ most vulnerable populations, and to offer the opportunity for others to experience the joy of serving. With the ongoing commitment of community partners and a dedicated Board of Directors, Volunteers of America has emerged over the past century as a premier provider of effective and high-quality social services for children, families, veterans, seniors, and persons living with disabilities through a wide array of programs. Today, we seek to bring hope and healing to our region to help vulnerable populations in making life-affirming choices, promoting self-sufficiency and fostering positive physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual development. Annually, we serve over 50,000 individuals through more than 22 different programs in 16 parishes in south Louisiana.
