The missio of New Orleans Kids Partnership is to expand access to high quality services to children, youth, and families in Greater New Orleans through collective imapct. NOKP works to ensure that all youth have access to the five types of resources they need to achieve adult success, the Five Promises: Caring Adults, Safe Places, A Healthy Start, Effective Education, and Opportunities to Help Others. Our 25 nonprofit youth serving member organizations have self-organized into four program focus areas, each with its own Working Group: (1) Coordinated Youth Services, (2) Mentoring and Tutoring (3) Family Engagement and (4) Early Childhood. Each Working Group goes through an iterative process in which they research, develop, implement, evaluate, and scale-up multi-year collaborative projects that catalyze and institutionalize the Five Promises through a coordinated system of robust youth services.

Our major projects include: GRoW - a coordinated system of free healthy lifestyle services to children when and where they need them, allowing every child to eat healthier, move more, and connect with other youth services. LA Mentor Match - a statewide partnership of mentoring organizations, a single point of entry for adults to access quality youth-serving programs. Connect 2 Educate - the single most comprehensive guide to children’s community services in New Orleans, helping parents make informed decisions about the services their children need. Parents As First Teachers - an outreach and education campaign to equip all parents with the necessary tools and understanding they need to enable their young children to grow happy, healthy, and ready for school.
